Anliet

Anliet is our loyal and outgoing Registered Veterinary Technician. She was raised in Great Bend Kansas and her love for animals started young. Anliet had dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, sheep, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, salamanders, and frogs! What she would call “a small zoo”.

Anliet became involved in Veterinary Medicine when she was 16 years old and started off volunteering at her hometown vet clinic in 1993. She helped by walking dogs and caring for the kitties there. She then started to observe the large animal care as well. As she attended college, she became a full-time receptionist and a technician assistant. Her career path then changed, and she attended Colby Community College and graduated in 2005 with her degree in Veterinary Technology. Since passing her state and national boards she has been a Registered Technician and practiced for a few years in general practice. For the next 16 years she found herself immersed in emergency medicine and practicing in the Kansas City area. She found an opportunity to move to Wichita and practice again in general practice here at Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills and “absolutely loves it!” She is involved in the Kansas Veterinary Technician Association as well.

When asked what it is about veterinary medicine she loves, “It is getting to help animals and their owners”, Anliet said. She wants to offer the best pet care she can possibly offer.

When it comes to caring for a client’s pets and her own crew, Anliet likes to make sure they are happy and healthy. An interesting fact about her pets is that Anliet has a theme, that all of her pets are black and white in color.  She has two dogs, Cowboy and ConTessa, and two cats, Witchy and Phantom. She adopted Witchy through a cat rescue and Phantom through being a farm kitty. Cowboy however was rescued from a hoarding situation and then adopted from Wayside Waif’s in KC and her little ConTessa came from the Great Bend Humane Society. She says, “they are all really good couch potatoes!”

In her spare time Anliet loves to fish. She also loves to be involved with anything involving water, but also likes to attend music concerts. She has a twin brother, Jarred, who is her world!
