Amanda

Amanda is our always friendly and chipper veterinary assistant who loves to make sure our client’s pets feel safe when they come in for a visit at our hospital! She was born and raised in Gilbert Arizona, where she would later graduate high school. She remembers having a Toy Poodle named Rambo, but also having several cats growing up. While being involved in her FutureFarmers of America class, Amanda says, “It really drove home the fact that I would love to work with animals in my professional career.” She then decided to move to Kansas in 2019.

She has now been involved in the veterinary field for three years. She has prior experience working at a large animal hospital and at an emergency hospital as well. Those experiences have built her love for animals, and it shows while she is helping owners with their pets through all the different stages of their lives, and everything from prevention to even the hardest of conversations. Amanda’s philosophy on pet care is nothing short of simple. She feels like animals should be treated like children. For her own pets, she is passionate about making sure her furry kids are protected with their preventatives.

Amanda and her husband Chance have two girls, Scarlett and Kennedie. They love and care for two dogs, Brooks who is a Golden Retriever mix, and Rivers who is a lab mix. Their family is rounded out with two kitties, Pepper and Kirby. Amanda says, “All of my pets love to play and wrestle with my girls”. She loves spending her spare time with her kids and enjoying outdoor activities.
