Jayla

Jayla is our sweet and gracious receptionist. Like many others, her love for animals has brought her into the veterinary industry. Jayla’s motivation has helped her complete her High School Vet Assistant Program at WSU with the aspirations of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Growing up in Wichita, Jayla appreciates that veterinary care is very readily accessible, even more than it used to be, giving families options to be able to do what is best for them and their pet. She fondly remembers her family pets as a child, a Silky Terrier named Brandy, and a Silky Poo named Bella. Also recalling how many calls her mom, as a nurse, would receive from her family members, was a big factor in how Jayla came to become interested in veterinary medicine. She wants to be able to help her family, giving them someone they can call for advice.

Jayla is most passionate about her pet’s hair routine. Her family currently loves and cares for 7 dogs, Bella, Diego, Stormi, Letty, Bailey, Carmelo, and Ahsoka. She loves grooming, so she has a strict schedule to keep them groomed and comfortable.

Aside from grooming and caring for her pets, Jayla also enjoys hobbies such as building Legos and watching movies with her brother. After buying her first car, a Camaro, at 16 years old, she became a member of the Heartland Camaros with her dad and loves attending car shows as well.
